WHY MÅNGATA?

Mångata is a distinctive clothing brand that goes beyond fashion. By delving into the essence of Mångata Lifestyle and understanding the brand's visions, you will begin to see why Mångata stands out.

Mångata aspires to create a community of hard-working people who share a collective consciousness towards making positive changes. Compassionate and mindful individuals who genuinely care about others beyond themselves. Mångata embraces the idea that our actions have an impact and that we all possess the ability to contribute to a better world, not only for ourselves but also for future generations.

CLASSSIC VS. SIGNATURE?

The classic and signature styles share the same external appearance and are both crafted from our custom fabric. This fabric is a single layer, multifunctional material featuring durable nylon on the outside and ultra-smooth bamboo on the inside. It possesses natural wicking properties, thermal regulation capabilities, and antimicrobial properties, making it particularly suitable for individuals with sensitive skin.

While the classic style comes with a standard size front pouch, the signature style is specifically designed for well-endowed men and offers three additional front pouch sizes to choose from. In addition, the signature style includes a convenient condom wrapper holder, providing added functionality and convenience.

CONDOM WRAPPER HOLDER?

The signature line features a discreet condom wrapper holder, large enough for a Magnum. This feature aims to promote safe sex practices by ensuring that a condom is in the perfect location in case the two of you get swept up in the moment. Men do not put the burden on her, be ready when she is ready.

It is important to note that the built-in condom wrapper holder is solely intended for storage purposes and does not offer protection against damage, heat, or moisture. Designed to provide convenience in preventing unplanned pregnancies and reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections. If desired, the condom holder can be easily removed using a pair of scissors.

MADE IN THE U.S.A.

The Mångata brand is proudly and exclusively manufactured in the U.S.A, a commitment rooted in my 30 years of service in the U.S. military and a dedication to supporting fellow Americans. Mångata clothing, made by Americans for Americans.

In 1960, 94% of clothing worn by Americans was made in the U.S.A. However, over the years, this figure has dramatically declined. By 1990, it had dropped to 50%, and today it stands at a mere 3%. While many industries have been outsourced, no industry was outsourced as quickly as clothing manufacturers, resulting in the loss of 1.5 million American jobs. While I understand those jobs will probably never return to the U.S.A., Mångata Lifestyle is determined to restore as many as possible. By successfully bringing men's underwear production back to America, we aim to demonstrate that anything can be revitalized within our nation.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, for every $1 spent in manufacturing in America, an additional $2.74 is added to our economy. This data highlights that the most effective way for Mångata Lifestyle to strengthen our economy is by revitalizing clothing manufacturing jobs in America. By cutting and sewing our clothing domestically, we aim to do our part in creating a positive impact on both the job market and the overall economy.

MÅNGATA LIFESTYLE IS ON A SOCIAL MISSION

We live in a damaged world, which is the horrible consequence of an economic system that was built for a few to extract every precious resource out of our planet and its people. From its natural resources to the fruits of our human labor has left the U.S. clothing industry decimated and the planet polluted. Relentless corporations driven by insatiable greed and power.

While Mångata Lifestyle operates as a for profit business, I reject the notion of pursuing profit at any cost, which currently prevails as best business practices. These unethical business norms make me sick to my stomach, and thus, I am deeply committed to making business decisions that stand in stark contrast to most other businesses.

“Cheap” clothing is a price paid by everyone and everything on the planet to include the planet. Our purchasing choices hold immense power and carry consequences. When we opt for goods made overseas, often by exploited individuals toiling in sweatshop conditions, we not only perpetuate these harmful practices but also deprive Americans of much-needed job opportunities. Furthermore, we implicitly condone countries with lax regulations that recklessly pollute the water and air that encompass our planet. While we may have limited influence over events beyond our borders, we can make a significant impact through our consumer choices. I strive to align my business decisions and personal purchases with my values.

What I’m saying is not easy. Changing consumer practices is hard. Changing mindsets is even harder. I get it. Asking people, especially those with families, to prioritize factors other than price when shopping. Yet, the choices we make ripple out and have far-reaching consequences. By demanding increased domestic manufacturing, we unlock a multitude of benefits that will positively impact us all. I genuinely want to hear your thoughts on re-industrializing our country and making "Made in the U.S.A." the preferred label.

Let us join forces and strive for a future where our collective choices shape a better world, where businesses flourish domestically, and where the "Made in the U.S.A." mark becomes a badge of honor.

WHY DOES MÅNGATA COST MORE?

The key to maximizing profits in the clothing business is cheap labor and cheap destructive fabrics. This low cost of production allows other brands to keep their prices attractive to the masses. Almost all clothing is produced in the world’s most impoverished counties under less than desirable work conditions for around $1 to $3 buck an hour. Meanwhile, Mångata clothing is made in the U.S.A. in safe conditions for a fair wage. When I say cheap destructive fabric, I'm not saying other brands use low quality fabric. I am referring to how destructive cotton and polyester are to our planet. All the clothing brands know they are highly destructive, but they continue to use them because they are extremely affordable fabrics, making the clothing industry one of the largest polluters in the world. Meanwhile, Mångata Lifestyle has been testing and has now switched to a new fabric that should set a whole new standard for eco-friendly performance fabric. This fabric will make Mångata one of the few clothing brands leading the charge for a sustainable future. This fabric will be unveiled with my 2024 designs.

Our focus is not on competing with others on price, but on doing what's right for America, the planet, and our customers. We prioritize ethical decisions and refuse to cut corners for the sake of profit. Mångata Lifestyle is about creating a brand that aligns with our values and setting a new standard for men’s clothing.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR MATERIALS?

At present, Mångata Lifestyle sources its materials from China because they currently produce the most advanced eco-friendly performance fabrics. While the limited U.S.A.’s textile plants appear to be taking a different direction. I am open to collaboration with any American textile plant that shares our vision for creating advanced sustainable fabrics. This ongoing dilemma between cutting-edge eco-friendly technologies vs using domestic materials.

MÅNGATA LIFESTYLE NAME?

Mångata Lifestyle is the business name, while the clothing brand itself is Mångata.

Mångata is a Swedish word pronounced “moon-gata”. An actual Mångata is the reflection of the moon on the water. This word not only sounds cool, but it also captures the essence of my business. The moon and the surrounding black sky represents the energy and excitement that comes with the afterhours. While the Mångata symbolizing peace and our commitment to producing soft and eco-friendly fabrics that are beneficial for both the skin and the environment. Also, the inclusion of "man" in the first three letters aligns with our focus on making performance products exclusively for men.

CARPE NOCTEM?

Our slogan, "Carpe Noctem," means "seize the night," resonates with your main community of hardworking professionals. While professionals excel at being productive during the workday, they often neglect to allocate enough time and energy for themselves. "Carpe Noctem" serves as a powerful reminder to seize the opportunities that arise after work and embrace the richness of life. As a clothing brand for successful men, Mångata emphasize the importance of work/life balance and encourages men to create meaningful moments outside of their professional lives.

SDVOSB

Mångata Lifestyle is a registered Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Served in the U.S. military from 1990-2020 and now I'm on my new mission. Making the perfect pair of men's underwear for those who appreciate life's finer things.

WHY ONLY BLACK UNDERWEAR?

If you join me on this journey, you will see the many advancements I’m spearheading in the world of men’s underwear. I approach the design of my underwear with the same precision and artistry as a tailor creating a suit or tuxedo. Black is timeless, black is sexy, black is professional. My focus lies on quality, sustainability, comfort, impeccable construction, and a captivating aesthetic. I prioritize substance over color choices or graphics. If you seek a brand that genuinely values what truly matters, rather than relying on superficial marketing tactics, then Mångata is the serious and exceptional choice for you.

HOW DOES BAMBOO FABRIC EFFECT THE PANDA BEARS?

Our fabric is made using moso bamboo, which is a species of bamboo that pandas do not consume because the leaves are too far from the ground. Therefore, our bamboo fabric has no impact on these beloved and adorable bears that we all appreciate.
